Permit Waitlists
There are waitlists for certain garage permits in high-demand areas.
It's easy to join a waitlist. Eligible faculty, staff, and students can log in to their account to join a waitlist for the permit they would like to purchase.
In addition to surface lot permits, eligible students may purchase a garage access permit providing garage access to different areas of campus. There are two types of student garage permits:
- CG - Central Campus Surface Parking with Garage Access
- CP - Central Campus Surface Parking with Overnight Garage Storage
Both permits provide access to either a single garage or group of garages, depending on the type of permit purchased.
Garage permit allocations are established each year depending upon available garage spaces. Customers who would like to purchase a CG or CP permit may do so during the annual permit renewal period. Permits are awarded based on student rank and position on the waitlist.
Below are the garage groupings for the different student garage permits.

*Permit does not provide overnight parking and is therefore available only to students who are commuting
Peak: 5 a.m. - 4 p.m. Weekdays
Off-Peak: 4 p.m. - 3 a.m. Weekdays, All Day Weekends
Overnight: 3 a.m. - 5 a.m.
Staff Garage Permits
In addition to surface lot permits, staff may purchase a BG permit, allowing limited garage access on different areas of campus.
- BG permit allocations are established each year depending upon available garage spaces. Staff who would like to purchase a BG permit may do so during the annual permit renewal period.
- BG permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the allocation limit has been reached, customers may join the appropriate BG waitlist. Customers on a waitlist are notified during the year if a BG permit becomes available. Customers may be added to the waitlist at any point during the year.
