Keep Your Keycard!

Here's Why...

New content....

In an effort to ease the customer transition to a new permit season, as well as in the spirit of going green, we're exploring new ways to limit the amount of plastic keycards created and distributed annually.

Starting this year, you will have the option of re-using your keycard from the previous permit season, and we'll take care of updating the accessibility so that it works in the new year.

This way, you won't have to worry about switching your annual keycards on the correct date. And who doesn't want to help save the planet?! - move to bottom/closing?

We have also added the ability to access your individual parking code through your personalized profile page (link). This means that as long as you have a smart device/your phone (apple watch, etc.? - did we figure out if we can link to wallet?) on you, you'll be able to use your virtual QR code in place of a physical keycard. This goes for garage access as well as event parking access!

Old stuff - copied??

Congratulations on your recent employment and welcome to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center! We recognize that this can be a stressful transition, and we want to do everything we can to help, starting with guiding you through your first week on the medical campus.

The following information is for new WMC employees who are going through orientation week at the Fawcett Center.

If you have not yet done so, please email the following information to welcome@campusparc.com:

  • Name
  • License plate number
  • State of issuance
  • Make and model of vehicle

In an effort to ensure you are able to get to know the medical campus and your personal routine prior to purchasing a permit, parking rules will be lenient during your first week on the job. This will allow you time to ask us questions, become familiar with the parking system and figure out what permit works best for you.

Where should I park for orientation?

The first day of orientation takes place at the Fawcett Center located at 2400 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43210. Parking is available onsite.

For your second day, you will fall into one of two scenarios. Please read the following scenarios to determine where you should park.

Scenario 1: If you start and end your day at the main hospital (Doan, Rhodes, Ross, Dodd, James, Harding), park in the Carmack Lots (1, 2, 3, 4) and take the Med Center Express (MC) Shuttle to campus.

Scenario 2: If you start your day at the main hospital (Doan, Rhodes, Ross, Dodd, James, Harding) and end your day at the Ackerman Complex, park in the Ackerman Complex and catch the 7:00 a.m. Ackerman (ACK) Shuttle to the Medical Center. Then, take the shuttle back to Ackerman for your afternoon session and your car will be there when you finish.
