Welcome Students!

Whether you are back to campus as a seasoned Buckeye or just arriving as a first-year student, we join the university in welcoming you to Ohio State!

Move-In Parking Information

Visitor parking is available throughout campus and can be utilized for move-in. We recommend visiting our Academic Visitor Parking page to learn more about visitor parking, as well as utilizing our SureParc tool. The visitor tab in SureParc will allow you to search for a parking location close to your residence hall.

Surface lot parking is $2.25 per hour, and payment can be made through the ParkMobile app. There are also several garages open to visitors.

Please remember that payment is required to park on Ohio State’s campus.

NOTE: Though not normally open to visitors, 11th Avenue Garage will also be available for visitor parking during this period. It is located on West 11th Avenue, just east of Neil Avenue.

Picking Up Your iPad

The parking lots along the north side of St. John Arena (on Lane Avenue) are the pick-up location for the iPad that each student will be provided. We do not anticipate any need for you to park in this area. The on-site staff will direct you upon your arrival.

Other Parking Updates

Parking on campus will look a little bit different this year, and we want to help your semester go as smoothly as possible.

As you may already know, 2019-20 keycards carry over into the 2020-21 permit year, digital QR codes are now available online, and a new license plate policy went into effect Aug. 1

West Stadium Lot

CampusParc and the university closely monitor demand for specific types of parking spaces and makes changes when necessary. Because of a change in demand in the West Stadium Lot, this lot is now for A and B permits only. But don’t worry – alternative C parking remains available nearby in the Northeast Stadium, Northwest Stadium, St. John Arena, French Field House and Riverbank lots.

Permit Changes

We’ve also updated some of our existing permits, as well as added new ones. The former CG2 and CG3 permits have been replaced with the new CG7 permit, which provides access to 11th Avenue and Ohio Union North garages.
